I am a descendant of John and Matilda Goynes/Guynes of Copiah County, Mississippi.I couldn't find either the Ellen or the Elizabeth Goynes that you mentioned, nor any reference to the Womacks or Sharplins in the Guynes research I have done, but I would suggest that you try to contact someone at http://bz.llano.net/gowen/http://bz.llano.net/gowen/
The Gowen Research Foundation has a tremendous amount of information on these and related families who probalby all trace their lineage back to the Gowens.Hold onto your hat, though. There might be some marriages to Indians in your background, but the Guynes/Goynes/Gowen family of Copiah County, Mississippi, most likely traces its lineage to a family of free coloreds who descend from an Angolan indentured servant who arrived in Jamestown in 1628.
