I am exploring a connection between Gwarthney (sic) &
Daniel Boone.
According to the Diary of Daniel Boone (on line)--
He had some land record/Certs stolen from him (ca 1780-81-
Court Record Fayette Co, Ky-he swore it was the truth-one was Joseph Essex (another family surname) while he was going to VA to report to his bosses. While in Va, he stay the night with his SISTER who as the surname GWARTHNEY.
I have known of the Gwarthney connection to the Jenkins for years. Have a Merrifield/Boone connection in Hardin Co,
Ky already. So it makes sense but I don't know what the connection to Gwarthney/Boone is!!! Have email the Boone
Family Assoc. again & see if they can tell me.Just have to go back and find Daniel Boone's Diary again !!!
