I know this is an old post, but maybe you will get it. Larkin Gyger came from a pretty large family and I think many served in the Civil War from Indiana and Illinois. These are a few names that I know of that are related to Larkin. I'm not sure if any of these men were in Texas during their service.
Wiley Gyger (c.1829-c.1903 / brother) 75th Illinois Regiment. (Invalid Pensioner)
Isaiah Gyger (1822-1901 / brother) 67 & 145th Indiana Regiment. (Invalid Pensioner)
George W. Gyger (1825-aft.1900 / brother) 53rd Indiana regiment. (Invalid Pensioner)
Finley Gyger (1839-1909 / nephew) 15th Indiana Regiment. (Invalid Pensioner)
William W. Gyger (c.1848- ? / nephew and son of Isaiah Gyger) 145th Indiana Regiment. (Invalid Pensioner)
Larkin had many sisters, but it would be hard to figure out who was who and if they served. As far as the pensions go, I have not seen any of them.
