They also had a son named Richard Nathaniel who died in Spain. I got this from a database at Ancestry.com on US Veterans.
"Richard Nathaniel Gyger - Son of Nathaniel and Ida C. Gyger; born May 11, 1887, near Bedford, Ind. Machinist. Entered U.S. Navy August 18, 1916, Detroit, Mich.; assigned to the Machias. Died May 31, 1919, Sauroque, Spain, as the result of an automobile accident. Buried in Greenhill Cemetery, Bedford, Ind. Survived by widow, Olive Kern Gyger, and three children, Trullah, Beulah, and Roy, Bedford, Ind."
His father, Nathaniel was born May 9, 1865, died April 28, 1942 and is buried in the Gilgal Cemetery in Lawrence Co., IN.
