Lots of Hafners in the Pennsylvania Dutch
counties and up into Bucks, Northampton,
and Lehigh Counties.Several families go
back to pre-Revolution roots.Census 1790
good place to start for old roots and the
1900 census Soundex will show old and new
branches.Too broad for a beginner but most Hafner lines from Ohio, Missouri, Iowa and
Wisconsin will trace back to Pennsylvania,
so you may want to narrow your search down
to a particular Hafner family.Good luck
