Yes the Haffner name is of Germanic origin. However there are and were several Haffner migrations to the US from a variety of countries. I do not know if there is a family connection between us but would be glad to help find out. I have been researching the Haffner family name for some time and have considerable amount of info on the Haffner family. My Haffner line came to the US in 1743 settled in PA, then VA then OH, and IN, but the family todayy is in just about every state.
