hello - have been researching hafner's from southwestern germany, just north of zurich. in 1852 lorenz hafner came to usa w/ pennsylvania dutch (same ship as the bodega of lacrosse, wi - whatever that is) spent time in pa. moved to ohio. then went north to MN and bought property there in 1859. he married maria beck in mn. lorenz is my great grandfather. does this cross match any of the info you have found? do you have a jacob hafner anywhere. he was a corporal in union army in civil war. the 11th regiment out of mn. any help appreciated. joe hafner email me at [email protected], doubt i'll ever find this site again!
