Re: Hafner family tree

I realize your entry was made several years ago, I guess it's never too late in the genealogy world to see of there could be any connections... My great grandfather, Charles William Hafner was Swiss born (San Gaulen) in @1838. I have no other information about his family except that possibly his mother's name was Mary and he (possibly) had a brother(s) William and/ Ulrich. He lived in Towanda, Pennsylvania and Chemung County, New York in the 1870's and 1880's after which the family moved to Minnesota. Charles and Ellen Kirwan/Kerwin had several children: Mary, John William (my grandfather), Hermann, William, Julia, and Florence. Charles died in Minnesota in 1899.
