yes, it's been a long time. i haven't been on this site for years! with recently discovered info, it does not seem like there would be an immeidate connection. lorenz emigrated in 1852 through philadelphia to ohio and then on to minnesota. at the chatfield (southeastern MN, olmstead county) land office, he and his 2 sons each got a quarter section to farm (160 acres), farmland was in laCresant, MN. hafners still own some of that original farmland. don't recognize the names of your ancestors - do you know what part of MN they settled in? joe
