Re: Haithcoat/Heathcoat in TN

My mother was Katherine Haithcote.Her sister changed the spelling.Eardley William Haithcoat was my grandfather.His father was James Henry Haithcoat.James' father was John Haithcoat.
This family has been in Bedford County, TN near Shelbyville since the early 1800s.John Haithcoat and James H. Haithcoat are both buried in the Bomar Cemetery near the Raus Community in Bedford County.
I recently cleaned the grave stone of John and it indicates he was born in 1825 in NC.John married Eve Holt, who's maiden name was Shofner.
