I am descended from the Kentucky side of the Halcombs.That is the side spelled with an "a" in the Halcom.Specifically the Halcomb side from Pulaski Co., KY side.My Great Grandmother was a Halcomb from Pulaski Co., KY (Mattie Halcomb, daughter of Isaac and Amanda Jane (Coomer) Halcum.Does this help?

For years, I travelled 299 en route to our deer hunting spot and have noticed the cemetery on the side of the road.I was so entranced one year that I stopped and jotted down the inscriptions of some of the oldest tombstones.I admire the fact that you live so close to this area as I would like to someday.Maybe some day...
