I am e-mailing you because I seen that you responded to Becky Haley's message on green barry.
He is also my ggrandpa . I can't seem to contact Becky!
What is in the Haley and related families books.
I have a William Haley who was born around 1835 in Ky. He also lived in Lucas Co. Iowa. He was a relation to Green I believe. Also William has a mother living with him who is Rhoda born about 1802 in Ky.But where my confusion is , there is a William Haley in Lucas Iowa buried with the same birthyear, but he is from Ny and his mother is Mary Scully and his father was John. If the firstWilliam were the father of Green he would have been but 18 when green was born.I need help in sorting this out. Are these two separate William's. What is there relation to Greenbarry? Also the first William was in the Civil war for Mo. Reg.2 Company F.
To add further confusion Mary Scully and the John Haley listed parents ofthe second William were from Ill. Atleast I did find a Mary Scully. I think that if Rhoda was not techinichally the first williams mother than he and Green could be bros. but otherwise Rhoda would have been to old.
Also GreenBarry haley had a brother with the same name. My great Aunt told me that when his brother died in the war he just used Green. Is there any reference to these Williams in your book? Please respond and thank you for taking the time to read this!
