i know for a fact that my great grand parents were from
bromsgrove and also they were shop owners and my grandad
frank halfpenny as a small boy ran the family buisness during the first world war and brought stock from bromsgrove to birmingham markets, he then lived the rest of his life selling fruit and veg in the wholesale market in birmingham.
we have been told that my great grandfather was the first person to be fined for being drunk in charge of an horse and cart!!!! if it,s true ?
