Oh I forgot to mention that John and his wife also had these children, Margaret, Peter, and James, and Anna of course.We also have that John's wife was Esther Nevius.I didn't know about the first wife though. My mom is the Happney, that's the way her dad spelled it, but he was born a Halfpenny, but after his father Lewis died (in W.V) all the children changed their names to Happney, but spelled it all kinds of ways. Hapeny, Happeny, etc.How did your line spell it. Well if you go back to John it would be Halfpenny wouldn't it? Since Anne married she wouldn't have the name anymore, haha.
