It's only a little info, but I think Your Bernard Halfpenny rented land/house(?) in Glack, Ireland from A.Sillery in 1820, who owned the Barony of Ardee in COunty Leath. My interest is in the connection between Halfpenny and Sillery - my ancestors are Sillery.

All I know apart from this is that Arabella Sillery married Martin Halfpenny in 1806 and had a daughter called Mary Halfpenny. Arabella's father was Charles Sillery of Batestown, if that helps at all. I have also found a record of a Robert Halfpenny who was transported to Australia in Sept 1852 (on the ship the Lord Auckland) for Cattle Stealing (he got 10 yrs). He had an alias of Robert Sillery, and went with his son also called Robert Sillery/Halfpenny. No wife was mentioned.
