Several years ago I came across an entry for one of my wife's ancestors, but never followed up the info.Today I thought that it would be interesting to see whether anyone else on this Board had the following family within their own ancestry, as I could then fill them in with what happened to this particular branch.
On 3 Nov 1856, George HALL married one Mary Ann[e] GILLAM in the Parish Church of St.John, Cardiff, Glamorgan. Both were of 'Full age', and his father was shown as Thomas HALL (farmer). Winesses were P. Money and Mary Rice)
George was a 'Groom', and the only other info I have about him (at the moment) is that on the 1881 Census, he and his wife are shown living at 50 Russell Street in the same Parish where they married.
Although that Census shows him to be aged 57, it is frustrating to read there that he was born in 'England', without anything being stated as to where!!! - and no, I've not checked any other censuses to date (to my shame), although I'm hoping to do so soon.
George and Mary Ann[e] had children, one of whom (Mary, bo. c1857) married a DREW (in Cardiff, GLA), whilst Elizabeth, bo. c married a WHITE (also in Cardiff, GLA), both of whom appear to have been born in the West Wales area (one registered at Narberth, and t'other in Pembroke). There may have been more children as I've noted many other HALL's being born in Narberth, in Pembroke, and other nearby Districts within the post-1856 period!
I apologise for my not having a lot of info, but hopefully someone somewhere links into this family, and then we can share information about each others descendancy.
