Seeking Sophie Halvorsen of Mandal (died approx 1940)

I am searching for Sophie Halvorsen Pederson, wife of Christian Pederson, mother of Florence and Catherine and two boys who predeceased her.Sophie was left in on the family farm in Mandal, Norway by Christian when he went to the US with the girls to work with the WPA in 1936.He never returned and she died shortly thereafter---approx. 1940.She was supposedly mentally ill toward the end of her life and often smoked a pipe.
