Hi Erik,
My ancestors include an Adam Hamburg family from Germany.They came over in 1828. Settled in Brownville, Jefferson County, New York. I have an old picture that says they came from Orangeburg, Prussia.I can't find any Orangeburg in Germany but there is an Orienburg north of Berlin.
As a matter of fact, I have several pictures of this family.
Any connection?
