Hamburg(er), Hamberger families of MI and IL 19th-20th
I continue to search for information on the Hamberger family and have just realized that the spelling of the name has become a problem. There is no Hamburger message forum, so I have been using the Hamburg family message forum.I had posted to this site back in 2004 w/o results and at that time used the spelling with the e, and some point changed to the u spelling. Now I see I will need to use both to find what information is posted.Nathan Hamberger died in Chicago and I have a short sort of obituary for him.I have been unable to locate an obituary for Lucy, who died 7-2-1921 in Chicago. Both Nathan and Lucy actually lived in South Haven MI but traveled to Chicago near the end of Lucy's life to live with daughter Grace Babcock. Both died there and are buried there.I am now trying to locate their burial site and other members of the family, including the Babcocks. I think the info must be either in Chicago where they died or in South Haven MI (and earlier in Saginaw and in Grand Rapids, MI) where they lived. Any information will be appreciated. thanks
