John, I am of this lineage as well.In fact, someone in the family has pictures of the grave markers in Ireland.I am looking for info about James (Elma Matheny Handley) and Catherine Handley who were brother and sister.Catherine is buried at Ford City, Gentry County, Missouri.I don’t have dates available at this time.James married Elma Matheny and had four children, I believe. Perhaps George William and Leo were names of two children.Catherine Frances Handley (1866 to 1909) was married to Thomas Kiernan Rourke (1864 to 1930) aka O’Rourke. Thomasand Catherine got married in 1889. They are parents of John Joseph, my grandfather and lived in Kansas. The family story is one of question.Supposedly, Elma left her family and lived as a wife to Thomas Rourke after the death of Catherine.Elma and Thomas never married as she was still married to James.Any information you might have about this family or family story, would be of interest to me as we are preparing to compile a detailed family history and have missing pieces. Have a good trip!
