In search of my fathers family!!! please help if u can

Hi my name is tammy and i am looking for some family of my fathers and of mine i am 36 and often looked and thought of my real family for many different reasons..
My Fathers name is James douglas handley and was adopted as a young baby or boy by jeanne and leo lapoint. my father died when i was 5 years old in and accident on the job.. since then i went to live with my mother whom i never knew before my father died..and since my life has truely not been good.. not the best family to be brought into but she was my biological parent and so i was intoduced to her and her family, i could never get answers from her and at the young age of 14 i left home and been on my own since..sadly his adopted family (parents) have passed on and i can never get answers from them due to my mother not wanting me to talk with them.. long story and not going to get into it all .. it has not been great but i miss my dad and remember every part of him to this day ..the only thing i like to remember really best part of my life was the first 5 years...i would really like to have family in my life and also for medical reasons its hard not knowing what kind of problems might have been inherited..i really dont know a whole lot about his real family or the adopted one.except that his birthday is in july i beleive and he was raised in espanola ontario..he also died in 1979 ariund his birthday... anyways maybe i have aunts or uncles, cousins ,granparents etc.. i would love to get to know as my real family.. so if anyone has information on my father for me could u please email me i desperatly need something from someone!!!! thank you so much
