Hugh Hanley (1877-1948) Dewitt Co., IL 1930

HUGH HANLEY, 69, husband of HELEN FINNEGAN, died at 4:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Cole Hospital in Champaign. Death was due to a heart ailment. A retired Illinois Central engineer, Mr. Hanley had lived here since last fall, when his wife joined the faculty of the Consolidated Grade School. Mr. Hanley was born at Ludlow, and began working for the Illinois Central in 1902. He retired about a year ago. He was married in 1936 to HELEN FINNEGAN, who survives; also two sisters Mrs. KATIE QUINLAN and Miss SARAH HANLEY both of Ludlow. Funeral services were held at 10:a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, with Fr. C.B. Motsett officiating. Burial was in the Gibson Cemetery.
