Edwin G. Hanley, age 81, dearly beloved son of the late Lawrence and Margaret, nee Gaynor, Hanley. Loving brother of Rev. Lawrence Hanley and the late Jean T. (the late John) Stuart; dear uncle of David F. Sr. (Cheryl) Stuart, Sandra (Stephen) Doody; great-uncle and great-great uncle to many nieces and nephews; dearest cousin to many; cherished friend to all who knew him. A proud veteran of the U.S. Army WWII and a member of the Canaryville Veterans Assoc. and the American Legion Post # 2910. Funeral Monday, 8:15 a.m., from Thomas McInerney's Sons Funeral Home, 4635 S. Wallace St., to St Gabriel Church for Mass of the Resurrection, at 9 a.m. Visitation Sunday, 2 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society .
