Harry Lee Hanley (1911 - 2010)

Harry Lee Hanley, 99, of Marshall Junction, died Sunday, December 5, 2010, at Fair View Nursing Home in Sedalia, MO.

Memorial graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 10, 2010, in Bethlehem Cemetery at Marshall Junction, with William W. Harlow officiating. Friends may sign the guest book at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Born July 5, 1911, near Marshall Junction, he was the son of the late Robert E. Lee Hanley and Susan Kathryn McDaniel Hanley.

He was a graduate of Marshall High School and attended Missouri Valley College and the University of Missouri. On August 23, 1960, he married Mabyl Smith Belwood who survives. He was a farmer and a carrier of the Kansas City Star for 16 years. He built the Wheel Inn Restaurant and Garage at Marshall Junction which he operated for many years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two stepchildren, Mark Belwood of Marshall Junction and Marilyn Belwood of Marshall; one step-granddaughter, Jesse Lundervold; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert Hanley, Ralph Hanley, Lloyd Hanley and Arch Hanley; two sisters, Virginia Hanley and Marjorie Cannon, and one sister in infancy Marion Hanley. Published in SedaliaDemocrat.com on December 6, 2010
