I don't have time to check the 1900 Census for the family you mentioned, but in my husband's family, there are two brothers named John Hanlon b. Dec 22, 1888 and Richard Hanlon b. Jan 28, 1890.They are the youngest of the nine children of Henry Hanlon b. 1838 d. 1907 and Amanda Cline (no dates for her).Henry's mother was Nancy French and I don't know who Amanda's mother was.One of them may have Bakers in their family. If Amanda died while the boys were young, they may have been raised by relatives. My husband's great-grandfather, Felix Hanlon, is a younger brother of this Henry.
By coincidence, my mother-in-law has Bakers in her ancestry, but to my knowledge my father-in-law does not.
