I found a James Hanlon coming to Maryland in 1775.I guess this is too late to match with your findings. Can you email me any more info?

I was actually planning to go though the internet and compile a list of all ships departing UK to Maryland in 1775 and then see if I could find passenger lists to locate our Hanlons.

Below is the info I found- the times look roughly applicable.

Name:        James Hanlon
Year:        1775
Age:        29
Estimated birth year:        abt 1746
Place:        Maryland
Source Publication Code:        6267.2.10
Primary Immigrant:        Hanlon, James
Annotation:        Date of emigration with intended destination. Port of emigration and occupation also provided. This is the same article as source no. 6266.99.50 above with a larger introduction. There are slight variations within the actual passenger lists. A third version of this article was indexed as source no. 6267 in PILI Cum 1986-1990. The names were originally extracted from Passenger Lists to America by Gerald Fothergill which was indexed as source no. 2151 in an earlier edition of PILI.
Source Bibliography:        O'BRIEN, MICHAEL J. Irish Immigrants from English Ports in the Eighteenth Century. In Journal of the American Irish Historical Society NY: American Irish Historical Society, 1919. Pp. 208-215.
