My great grandfather, Terence O'Hanlon, b. circa 1867 in
Ireland [Free State] married Elizabeth O'Connor [Connor] 1889 in the Roman Catholic Chapel at Saltcoats [Old Ardrossan district], Ayr, Scotland.

Listed on marriage certificate were parents Redmond O'Hanlon and Elizabeth McIntyre who, ccording to Terence's US census records, were both born in Ireland. Redmond was listed as a traveling draper , and was inSaltscoats by 1889 andmaybe earlier. There is a possibility that Elizabeth McIntyre may have been a Redmond's second wife, but that is not confirmed.

Terence's first wife, Elizabeth O'Connor, died in 1899 and he remarried Elizabeth Smith in 1902 Rutherglen, Lanark, Scotland. Terence and hsi family came to San Francisco, Ca in 1904-5, where they raised three children: Jean b. 1898, James [1897] and Harry [Henry]Peter O'Hanlon 1903.
