I'm not quite sure how to read those parishioner lists posted by leighann, since what appear to be all-caps headings are scattered about, but there certainly a few Hannas/Hannahs/Hannays (and McKies, Patersons, Agnews...).They were probably trying to imitate how the hand-written records were arranged, but...I looked at pages 45, and 54-57.

...a couple recent cattle auctions, and some cruft.There are apparently several other places named "Boghouse" in various shires/counties (just as with Sorbie/Sowerby...).Most of the references of people are "after my time", by which I mean that they're for people after "my" Hannas/Hannahs/Hannays had moved to Ireland (early 1600s) or from there to America (some time between 1730 & 1749), and I'm uncertain how they're related.But McKerlie's _History of Lands and Owners in Galloway_ is certainly on my "to read" list.
