David, I hope you're still around and can correspond with me.My grandfather, Henry "Harry" Hapgood, was bandmaster to Queen Elizabeth before his first wife died, and he moved back to the United States in 1900.She presented two coronets in appreciation of services, one to him and the other to "Bugler Dunn" of some fame.

My ggrandfather was George Thomas Hapgood, who was named after his two uncles -- he was born on the day they left for Australia with their sister.
