Jane Harby b. 1679 m. Thomas Bowerman

Not sure if anyone has followed up on this post or not, but the current research on this marriage, is tending to discount it.
A. L. Bowerman, "A Bowerman Family History", Gateway Press, Baltimore, MD: 1998, page 122:
"Family tradition" has said that Thomas (3) Bowerman married first Jane Harby/Harbury in 1719 who bore him a son Ichabod in 1721 and that she apparently died soon after her son's birth. However no proof for such a marriage has ever been found in local records and this seems to have been an error made in early accounts of the Bowerman family. MacLean W. McLean, F.A.S.G., who has done much research on families of this area unequivocally stated that "Thomas (Bowerman), b ca. 1689; m. 11 Nov. 1721 Jane 'Clasen' or 'Clafen,' [Falmouth TR], but not Jane 'Harby,' as alleged by Amos Otis in his Barnstable Families" [TAG 48:217].
I have been personally trying to find records relating to this mysterious Jane "Harby/Darby" for years, and have searched town and Quaker records personally. No mention has ever been found.
Hope this helps.
