My greatgrandmother was 'Annie' Hardeman, married to George Washington Williams and moved from Georgia to Texas
about 1887.They had 11 children that I know about including my grandmother Purmelia Andrus Williams.

I've been told that Freed-Hardeman College in Tenn is named after a member of her family, and that my grandmother's
ancestor was govenor of George during the civil war.
