Rosemary Corley -The part of your message that says Amelia Hardeman's aunt or great Aunt was a daughter of Thomas & Mary Perkins
Hardiman tells me of her ancestry.
This Thomas Hardiman was the son of John Hardiman who married Dorothy Edwards in Virginia. This John was the son of a John Hardiman Jr. who married Henrietta Maria Taylor in Virginia.John Jr. was the son of Lt Col. John Hardiman born in the mid 1600's, came to America, settled in Charles City Co.,Va.

A Nicholas Perkins Hardiman, professor at University of California, wrote a book, "Wilderness Calling" in 1977.While he didn't claim it to be a genealogical book, it
covers much of the History of his Ancestry, briefly about his Virginia origins and much more about his Tennessee and other southern states ancestors.

Since Lt. Col. John Hardiman of Charles City
Va is a common ancestor to both Thomas
Hardiman/Mary Perkins and to myself, but down separate lines, I have collected considerable data about this complete family.

"Wilderness Calling" is out of print now but
after loosing my original copy I requested from and within a short time they located a copy for me and if my memory serves me correctly it cost between $20 and 30.

If I may be of help, let me know.

dollars.
