John Hardeman who Died at New Orleans

By Rebecca Pacey May 21, 2000 at 12:42:20

Hi I ran across this in Vol 48 of the NGS Quarterly.
It appeared as a vital statistic from the National Intelligencer in 1829.

Hardeman, John, died at New Orleans 7 Sept.He was a native of Tennessee, and emigrated to Missouri about 12 years ago. He was the son of Capt. Thomas Hardeman, one of the earliest settlers of Tennessee, who also emigrated to Missouri and now lives in the vicinity of Jefferson City.He was twice married and has left a widow and children.About a year ago he went on a commercial visit to Mexico. (20 Oct.)

Question:Which John Hardeman would they be referring to.

Your help would be appreciated, Thanks.
