What you need is a copy of Nicholas Perkins Hardeman's book "Wilderness Calling" because he has a family tree in the back, which includes John Hardeman and both his wives (second wife was Nancy Knox). I believe these were direct ancestors of Nicholas Perkins Hardeman, who was a history professor at Long Beach, CA.

Thomas Jones Hardeman married Mary Polk and their descendants are also included.

My line comes from their sister Dorothy Hardeman, who married George Burnet.
