The book "Wilderness Calling" list the John Hardeman that died in New Orleans of Yellow Fever as the son of Thomas Hardeman.This excellent book by Nicholas Perkins Hardeman also outlines the Sante Fe Trips by John Hardeman.Sante Fe was part of Mexico at the time.

Any one doing any research on the TN Hardeman should check this book.
