Re: Nicholas Hardeman /another cousin

Keith Hardeman -- I just now saw your message about being Nicholas Perkins Hardeman's son. You must be very proud! I read his book "Wilderness Calling" last year and was so impressed! I was pleased to learn so much about the family's history. Also, I think it explained some of the attitudes that must have been handed down from Thomas Hardeman.

Dorothy (Dolly) Hardeman married George Burnet in 1802 TN, and they are my gggrandparents. As you know, their son Peter Hardeman Burnett became first governor of California in 1850 (we're quietly celebrating the sesquicentennial here). One of Peter's brothers, Thomas Smith Burnett, was my ggrandpa.

It was great to find our family tree in the back of your father's book! Also it saved me a lot of work, and my housemate hates me because she spent years and even made trips to England researching her family tree the old-fashioned way. Are you carrying on where your father left off?
