Samuel's father was William (1772-1827).You can find Samuel in the 1850 Ogethorpe Co. census with the name spelled Hardaman.William spelled his name as Hardman.William is a descendant of what has been called The Buckingham Co. Va Hardman's.
William's wife was Anna Willingham (1774 - ?).Her mother was "Fanny" Hardman (1758 -?) daughter of John Hardman (1720 - 1796).This is a different Hardman line from the Buckinghman Co. Hardman although there is probable a common ancestory some where in Va.
One of William's other sons was Elbert who was an ancestor of Ga. Gov. Lamartine Hardman MD.He was governor 1927-1931.
