In the 1850 Federal Census ReportCharles Tyler Hardyman was listed as Tyler Harryman.The Census takers wrote down what he thought he heard.So as with my McDonald/McDanal/McDannel/McDowell/McDaniel family name so goes the Hardyman family name. Sometimes it is Hardyman then Hardman, Hardaman, Hardeman and others.So the different spellings comes from the person doing the writing not from Enland, Germany, France etc...... .
