See my other post regarding Thomas W. Hardin(g) versus Thomas J. Harding (died in Civil War).Thomas J. Hardin who married (1) Rebecca Blanchard, 1841 Columbia Co., Georgia and second to Catherine Hall.Thomas J. and Rebecca had sons Robert Toombs Hardin and Alexander Stephens Hardin and a daughters Mary Virginia Hardin who married her cousin (although I have not figured out the relationship) Dr. William Randolph Davie, sister, Rebecca Ann Hardin Isabella Hardin.
Alexander Stephens Hardin was born 1846 in Augusta, Richmond Co., Georgia and married to Elizabeth Viola Ramsey who he married 3-15-1873.His Children included your Thomas Newton Hardin born 1876 Columbia Co., Georgia and died 7-26-1963 and married a Anne Louise Palen. If this is correct, the parentage is at least correct back to William Harding and Phoebe Beasley Hardin(g).I show Thomas' siblings to be Guy Ramsey Hardin, Alexander Stephens Hardin, Jr., Isabella Jane Hardin.
Great grandmother Martha Malone Hardin had a brother John who married Martha Ann Toombs Tranum, whose mother was Ann Toombs, and by my research, the Robert Toombs family enters with this line but probably connects back to their Virginia roots. It is always an ongoing process!
