Yes,

I have discoverd alot of information about the Harig Family of Baltimore MD.

A lot of what I have is from the Baltimore City Directories (1830-1910), the
US Census, and various Baltimore newspaper accounts.

John Bernard Harig was born 1787 in Quakenbruck, Germany.Came to Baltimore
in 1833 as a locksmith. He ran a hardware store until his death around 1870
in Baltimore. He had 3 sons, John, Joseph, and Bernard.
John Frederick Harig was born 1817 in Hanover, Germany and died about 1880
in Baltimore. Was married to Mary ? born about 1924 in Germany.
They had 8 children.John, George (born 1847 - married Elizabeth Fritz),
William (born 1844 - married Molly Talbert, was in Navy in Civil War),
Thomas Jefferson Harig (my Great Grandfather), Emma (born 1852 - married
Louis Baker), Anna (born 1855 - married Charles Martino), Charles (born
1857), and Edward (born 1866).All of these were born in Baltimore.

Thomas Jefferson Harig, my Great Grandfather, was born 10/11/1862 in
Baltimore, died 8/9/1951 in Lackawanna, NY (Buffalo). He married Catherine
L. Flannery (my Great Grandmother), born 12/5/1869 in St. Louis Missouri.
He was a glassblower by trade, and went by "Jeff".There was a tradition
among German immigrants that the men often went by their middle name.He
left Baltimore around 1901.By the time he was blowing glass, that industry
was pretty well automated. He traveled around a bit, to Streator, Illinois,
Bridgeton, New Jersey, working in glass factories.I have not been able to
confirm it, but I think the glass factories were very nearby Anhauser Busch
beer factories.... beer & bottles...He was also a laborer helping to build
Our Lady of Victory Cathedral in Buffalo.Lived on Palm Street in
Lackawanna for many years.

Thomas & Catherine had 12 children:Richard (my grandfather) 1890 to 1950 He was an electrician by trade and died from an power accident.Richard Married Helan Abreham (my grandmother) they had 3 children Richard Jr. Walter, and George (my father 1936-1999),Marie
Etheline (born 2/26/1891 Baltimore, died 3/10/1929 Buffalo),Thomas
Jefferson Harig, Jr. ( - born 2/20/1893 Baltimore, died
3/25/1990 Tucson, Arizona),Gertrude Loretta (born 2/19/1895 Baltimore,

Thomas Jefferson Harig married Emma Goeckel from Brooklyn.
He was an electrician for the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad.Live at 63 Vincent
