Re: John Harig, PA, Died 1900

This is my g-g-g-grandfather.According to Jacob's compendium, Johannes "John" Harig Jr. was born 18 May 1808 in Wubels(kirchen=Church)(u with an umlat), Primar, son of Johannes Sr and Christina Kuemel. There is no mention of when he immigrated.He married Maria Voltz (Foltz)in 1834 and she bore him 9 children.Johannes Harig Jr. died 23 Aug 1900 and resided in Steinsville, PA.I was always told that the Harig family was of Swiss-German heritage.His son, John III, was born in Pottsville on (07 Jan 1843 per death cert.), and died in Lenhartsville, Albany Twp., Berks County, PA.
