I believe I have corresponded with you in the past.I have the following "bio" on Michael G. Harney.
MICHAEL GEORGE HARNEY (c.1820-1886) Ireland, MA
Born 1820 or 1822 in County Roscommon Ireland to Edward and Abby Harney. His occupation was a currier.He is shown on some records as Michael, and on others as George.He married 8 June 1853 in Roxbury, MA, to Catharine Gaghan (also spelled Gahagan and Hagin).Catharine was born in 1833, County Roscommon, Ireland, the daughter of Martin James "Hagin" and Mary O'Brien.In 1854 Michael G.Harney purchased land in Woburn. Michael and Catharine are listed in the 1880 Federal Census on Warren Street, Woburn (vol 18) with five children, and their grand-nephew John Harney, age 19.They purchased the Warren Street property on 28 Dec 1871 from Nathan Morse.Michael G. Harney died 23 Sept 1886 from emphysema. Catharine died 29 March 1893 in Brockton.On the death record her husband was listed as John Harney in error.Children of Michael G and Catherine Harney are: Abby (1854-56); Abbie Maria (Mrs. Thomas J) KENNEY; Edward (1858-63); George (1860-63); Josephine C (b.1862); John Edward (1864-1950) George (1868-93); Thomas F. (1870-1950) and William H. Harney (1876-1900).In 1863, young Edward, George, and Josephine caught scarlet fever.Edward and George died, and Josephine was left mentally impaired from this disease.Later (1868) another son was named George.Chart: SUEMB.MAS.
