here, again, is the laurens co, sc deed showing that our Charles harris/ jane cannon owned land there in laurens co, sc with james holley that bordered on lydall allen and which had involved a suit with the estate of Thomas burton, who, again, was the son of james burton, sr of Lunenburg co, va and whose daughter, agnes burton, had married james Hudson, brother of our Judith Hudson harris.
laurens co, sc deed book J, page 64, 1809, john clark, sheriff, to james holley and charles harriss for $53, 150 acres former property of silvanus walker on raborn's creek b on jonathan downs; lydall allen; robert creswell; sold by writ of fi fa at suit of exix and exec of thomas burton, decd. wit: william irby; john mc harg.
as I have just shown, Thomas burton died there in 1802 in laurens co, sc and his executors were his wife, Lillian and Robert creswell, who, again, as just cited, purchased a negro man slave of our frances Rodgers harris who had also died there in laurensco, sc in 1801.
here is the Lunenburg co, va deed showing that not only was Thomas burton, the son of james burton, sr of Lunenburg co, va, but also that james burton, sr was a legatee of our peter Hudson, sr.
lunenburg co, va deed book 5, page 329, james burton, sr of lunenburg co, va to thomas burton, for the love he has for his son thomas burton, 200 acres on the buffalo creek, being part of a larger tract deeded to james burton, sr from the executors of peter hudson, sr, deceased, and being the tract where james burton, sr now lives; bounded by james hudson; richard hudson; anthony griffin; and james burton, jr. no witnesses.
again, lydall allen's sister mary/ polly allen, and who, again, were the children of Charles allen, jr/ lucy bacon smith, who re-married in laurens co, sc Charles smith, and who were the children of Charles allen, sr also of Lunenburg/ charlotte co, va and the 1764 Lunenburg co, va tithe list shows that my/ our William harris, sr/ frances goode; her father, our mackerness goode, sr; jsmes Hudson, brother of our Judith Hudson harris; his father-in-law, james burton, sr and his sons, james burton, jr and Thomas burton were all in Charles allen, sr's district, per this same 1764 Lunenburg co, va tithe list, our William harris/ Judith Hudson, along with William Hudson, were in Richard witton's district.
first, here is the laurens co, sc deed wherein lucy bacon allen smith gave to her daughter mary/ polly allen and her son-in-law, our john l. harris again negro slaves there in laurens co, sc.

Proved by A. Millner 2 Sept 1822 before John Garlington, Clerk and JQ
Recorded September 1, 1822
john l harris is definitely indicated to have been the oldest son of our William harris, jr/ frances Rodgers.john mc lauhglin, who, again married our sarah goode harris, the sister of our Charles harris and john l harris, again, per our William harris, jr/ frances rodgers' 1799/ 1800 laurens co, sc estate papers, gave a deposition that john harris had burned and destroyed our William harris, jr/ frances Rodgers will.
there is a letter included in our William harris, jr/ frances Rodgers 1799/ 1800 estate papers, written in behalf of our frances Rodgers harris by Benjamin harper saxon, saying a will had been found; that captain james dyson would give testimony to establish this will; and that they were taking the matter our the probate court to the equity court in Charleston.
I engaged a sc genealogist quite a number of years ago to see if he could find this will and/ any other equity proceedings. he could not and apparently as our frances Rodgers harris also died there in 1801 in laurens co, sc, nothing more was done to establish this will.
again, both our Charles harris and john McLaughlin applied for letters of administration but john mclaughin served as the primary executor.
I am including here also the 1764 tithe list showing that our William harris, sr/ fracnes goode; her father, our mackerness goode, sr; our james Hudson/ agnes burton; her father-in-law; and his sons, james burton, jr and Thomas burton were all in Charles allen's district in 1764 in Lunenburg/ charlotte co, va.

it was, again, this same peter hamblen/ Hamblin/ Hamlin who, again, witnessed the 1761 Lunenburg co, va deed wherein our William harris, sr/ frances goode sold these 400 acres on both sides of the middle fork of the bluestone creek to john smith.
lunenburg co, va deed book 6, page 528, 1761, william harris of
lunenburg to john smith of amelia co, va for 200 pds, 400 acres on both
sides of the middle fork of the bluestone creek and bounded by new lines.
signed: william harriss. witnesses: abram crowder, peter (P) hamlin,
his mark, benjamin ragsdale. frances, wife of william harris,
relinquished her right of dower.
thissame peter hamlin/ Hamblin, who also witnessed the above deed re my william harris, sr/ frances goode in this middle fork of the bluestone creek area to john smith, was also involved with my mackerness goode, sr and his brother, William goode.
lunenburg co, va deed book 5, page 48, 1757, edward elam of lunenburg co, va to william elam of same for 20 pds, 200 acres in lunenburg on the west or upper side of bluestone creek, being part of a larger patent to william goode and bounded by mackerness goode's line and the said william goode's patent line. signed: edward elam, his mark. witnesses: w. goode; peter (P) hamblin, his mark; thomas (T) hamblin, jr, his mark.
then, per the following lunenburg co, va deed, our william harris/ judith hudson sold land to joel elam, which, again, was witnessed by my mackerness goode's brother, william goode, and by augustine rowland, who, perdeed already cite, was also involved with john wilborn/ Judith and Richard Hudson.
lunenburg co, va deed book 5, page 122, 1757, william harriss of lunenburg to joel elam of same for 21 pds, 71 acres in lunenburg on the upper side of the middle bluestone creek bounded by trees. signed: william harris. witnesses: wm goode; augustine rowland; hugh mc vey.
judith, wife of william harris, relinquished her right of dower.
per the above deed, this had to have been our Judith Hudson harris, daughter of our peter Hudson, sr, because, as shown, john wilborn did not die there in Lunenburg co, va until 1757/ 1758 and his wife, Judith, again, definitely indicated to have been the daughter of Richard Hudson, was still married to john wilborn.
