Re: Charles Harryman IN ~ 1850
Karen, I would like to put in my two cents worth here, possibly all that it is worth. In Ethyl Harryman's book, pages 58& 59,she tells of William B Harryman, born ca 1822 of Washington Ind., and his wife Rebecca, whose second son was Charles L., born ca 1848. She also found in the V.R. of Floyd Co. Ind., that Charles married [ no date given], to a Martha Neat. [I propose this should be Nest]. She had no further data on the family.
William B. and Rebecca, are found in the 1850 census of Jackson TWP.,Ind., with sons Charles L. 3 ;William C., 1.
William C. is found 30 years later in the 1880 census of Greenfield, Floyd C., Ind.,with his wife Mary, two sons, and his BROTHER Archibald, age 23. [Born ca 1857] Did not find William Sr., Rebecca, or Charles That year or anytime since.
Did find Frank G. in the 1920 census of Indianapolis, Marion Co, Ind., with his wife Katie and the three youngest kids.
The last item-- Found in Ky. death records, 1911--1986,[from the internet],a certain Archibald Harryman died Feb. 10, 1917 at age 60. [Born ca 1857].[ Same as above?] Is this the Ky connection ? Are Charles and company there?Berk
