Jane Hamilton Hursha (Harsha/Hareshaw/Haresha)
Jane is an enigma to the Missouri Kelsay family.
I have the information listed below.I am looking to verify this or disprove itI am also looking for parents.
Jane Hursha Kelsay died in KY, apparently she never made it to MO.However, it's conceivable that Mary HARESHA SIMPSON might have moved to MO to be near Jane's family. (She was alledgedly abandoned by her husband, Simpson, for accidentally poisoning his favorite horse.)
Jane and James Kelsay's son William and daughter Mary Jane both lived in MO. I don't know about their other children.
1. James Kelsay. Born 1770 in Boutetourt County, VA. Died 24 Mar 1849 in Morgan County, MO. Buried in Moniteau County, MO®4.Reference Note 4 James Kelsay is buried in Kelsay Family Cemetery, Morgan County MO (near Hopewell Church) in unmarked grave.
He married Jane Hamilton Hursha, 5 Aug 1793 in Greene County, Northwest Territory, NC. She was born 1770 in Greene, NC. Died About 1813 ®5 in Barren County, KY. Reference Note 5Jane Hamilton Hursha Kelsay died probably at the birth of her daughter Isabelle or shortly thereafter.
