Re: Hey Lori!
It has been a while since we have talked. Did I mention that we now live in Wisconsin? I was reading through the information you posted here and ALL the names sound familiar. There are students that I teach with some of the names and teachers I work with who have the other names. It was kinda weird. I am STILL trying to link people. I wrote everything I could find down for Theodore Hartleben in Tonawanda, NY. This is close to where my grandfather said he had family members. Theodore was born in around 1821 in "Prussia". I have 7 of his children listed here. What is really annoying is that his wife, Elizabeth, lists 11 living children in 1900. I have found seven for their family and then another four under my "male Hartleben". It would actually be possible (barely) that Elizabeth was the mother of the four others that I have if she started having children at age 16. I have no proof though and can't find Theo coming over to the US from Germany. If I could find that list, I could then see if the others were with them. Actually, I just figured out that my four wouldn't fit in with the other seven anyway since I have one born in 1868 coming over in 1885...and the seven were born in NY before that time. I am just writing and thinking at the same time :). It helps me to be able to come back and read my past thoughts. I'd love to hear from you again and see how you have been doing.
