James R. Hartless of TN & MO

In the Carroll County, Missouri census of 1860, James R. Hartless is listed as being born in TN.His age is 27. Also listed is wife, Martha J. Hartless, age 27, from TN. and the children are Benjamin Hartless, age 3, born in TN and Mary Hartless, 5 months, born in TN. There is also a James Heartless (Hartless) in the Carroll County marriage records who married Martha Jane Eskew,18, Jan. 1855, that I believe to be the couple in the 1860 census.Also listed in the marriage records is a James B. Hartless who married Annelisa Mullins, 11 Oct. 1863.I do not know if there were two James or one. I believe they disappeared from the 1870 census of Carroll Co. MO. Does anyone know these Hartless families and what happened to them?Any help is appreciated.
