Jane HARVERSON COCKSEDGE b. about 1817
Jane HARVERSON was probably the oldest child of William HARVERSON and Jane Frances GORDON. She married James COCKSEDGE (1813-1852) in 1842 in Hackney, Middlesex, England.
Their three children were christened at Saint Matthew in Bethnal Green, Middlesex, England:two daughters, Jane and Frances, and one son, James COCKSEDGE.At the 1861 census, Jane is living with these three children at the home of her brother, Thomas Gordon Harverson, and with her other brother, William.
I am related to the Cocksedge line and would be interested in hearing from anyone who knows more about this HARVERSON or COCKSEDGE family line.Her husband left a will that reads roughly as follows:
In the Name of God. Amen.This is the last will and testament of James Cocksedge of No. 30 Church St. Bethnal Green in the County of Middlesex pawnbroker after payment of all my just debts and demands I give devise and bequeath to Jane Cocksedge my dear wife the whole of my Real and Personal Estate of whatever I may be possessed ofand also the share of money Jane entitled to wish the will of the late Jonathan Robinson my mothers father from which amount she nowreceives interest as the money being invested in the public funds and I hereby appoint my dear wife as sole Executrix of my will as witness my hand this eighth day of May 1852.
Signed and acknowledged by the said Jane Cocksedge the testator as and for this last will and testament in the presence of us being present at the time who at his request in his presence and in the presence of ? ? have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.

Proved at London 29th April 1853 before the Worshipful Thomas Blake Porter of Laws and Surrogate by the oath of Jane Cocksedge Widow the Relic the sole executrix to whom admon was granted having been first sworn duty to adm.
