Kay, that's understandable.I remember when I first started researching my husband's family.I ran into the Hasenplaugh, Hassenplug, etc., also.But we did go back to Mifflinburg, PA--saw the name spelled correctly on the tombstones, naturally.It just bugged me that so many of the descendants who stayed in PA had removed the "f", giving the surname another sound entirely.An abrupt sound.
