Have difficulty with the date of Richard's birth and subsequent move to the colonies with William Penn.If truly born in 1620, that would have made him 62 years old when he recieved original land in 1682.It has also been reported that his son Joseph was born in 1651 in Bucks Co, PA, not likely since this area was not settled until well after that date.Joseph's son, William Sr. was born about 1704.This would have made Joseph about 53 years of age at the time of Williams birth.Given the context of time and longevity, life span average, at that time in history this does not seem logical.I would suggest that the transcription/translation of the written dates were incorrect. It would be more logical that Richard was born in 1650, Joseph in 1681.The original script may have been hard to read. These dates would make more logical sense.Comment please.
